Demographics

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 275 people, 103 households, and 73 families residing in the city. The population density was 376.8 people per square mile (145.4/km²). There were 109 housing units at an average density of 149.3 per square mile (57.7/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 100.00% White. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.09% of the population.

There were 103 households out of which 33.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.3% were married couples living together, 12.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.1% were non-families. 22.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 5.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.67 and the average family size was 3.11.

In the city the population was spread out with 31.3% under the age of 18, 8.4% from 18 to 24, 29.5% from 25 to 44, 22.9% from 45 to 64, and 8.0% who were 65 years of age or older.
